Israel had developed a strain of cancer that the new
State of Israel was expected to cure - especially after the Holocaust. Yet the new nation state, is once again suffering from
a vicious strain of self-destructiveness or self-hatred as it is called in religious circles. Such a diagnosis was thought
to refer to the Nation of Israel during the turbulent 2000 years of exile. It was considered a psychological consequence of
the horrors inflicted on our people during our homelessness. Now that we are resettled in our ancient Home Land, this malady
was to be no more than an historical fossil. Surely no one who was alive and conscious during the wonderful days after the
1967, Six Days War, could have imagined that this self-destructive ethos would reappear in the Jewish psyche - at least not
in the Land of Israel. Yet this cancer has reemerged with a pernicious and suicidal vengeance among religious and secular
Jews alike, both in our Home Land and in the Diaspora.
How can we look at the brave men and women in the I.D.F. and explain this phenomenon ? The explanation
has been available for many thousands of years in the Written Torah and in the writings of Israel's Prophets. Israel was
established as a nation with a Divine Covenant whose duty it was to demonstrate that its existence and success in all spheres
occurred by the supernatural Grace of the nation's Creator. When Israel had faith in God we were victorious. When
Israel feared the gentile forces around her, the loss of faith resulted in a loss of God's blessings of victory, security
and prosperity. Today's Jew - secular and religious alike - has lost faith in the supernatural. Our rabbis even tell us
that we are not to rely on the miraculous. Yet this is the essence of compliance with our Covenant with God. The Prophet Isaiah
warned that God would take away our wisdom and prudence because we distanced our hearts from God and only gave Him lip service
(Isaiah 29 : 13 - 14). Jeremiah warned of the punishment of conquest by the Babylonians because we did not listen to God's
words (Jeremiah 13 : 8; 25 : 8). Turn to the Prophet Zephania and read in Chapter 3 what God will do to us and for what reason.
Read Deuteronomy 30 : 2, 6 where God has already told us that we have a hearing problem and a stubborn, uncircumcised heart.
Deuteronomy 28 : 58, 62, 65 warns us that failure to observe the "written" words of Torah would lead to exile and
to our becoming a nation with a trembling heart. Deuteronomy 4 : 2; 13 : 1 warn our people not to add or subtract from the
"written Torah". Yet that is exactly what our rabbis did in ancient times. And no scholars except for a few such
as Jacob Lauterbach in his Rabbinic Essays challenges this practice and the so -called "oral torah" myth which our
early rabbis invented !!! These are by no means the only references which exhort us and our leaders to direct us to observe
the written Torah. Nevertheless, none of our leaders takes to heart anything in the Bible of Israel. While Islam vents its
venomous hatred at everything precious to us, our PM tells us we have no war with Islam. Is this not an example of God's
removal of the wisdom of our wise men ? Yes, brothers and sisters; it is exasperating to say the least. This dementia causes
Jews to perceive mortal enemies and their supporters as peace partners and friends and friends as enemies. President Hussein
Obama has one consistent thread in all of his foreign policy efforts from negotiating Iran out of her nuclear weapons to engineering
the "Arab Spring". Whatever Islamic nation is committed to war with Israel is strengthened and left alone. And whatever
Islamic nation is at peace with Israel is toppled. His success path for Israel's destruction began with his speech in
Cairo after he became president. This strategic endeavor which some choose to refer to as merely foolish or even imbecilic
is actually a premeditated plan to eliminate Israel. America's ruling families never stopped their war against Israel
since the time of the Balfour Declaration. And now that a nuclear Islamic terrorist state and its terror cells are perceived
as a mortal threat to these families, they have chosen their anti-semitic puppet to carry out their subtle plan to destroy
Israel. And just as they had Bush junior act dumb they have Obama look inept. Yet the clever Jewish liberal of Israel and
America cannot figure this out as they couldn't figure out that Franklin Roosevelt as their enemy. This is the curse in
action again.
The new Israel's State motto, "Never Again" has been taught for three
generations, yet the leadership of the people identify with the aggressor's designs and act to further the dissolution
of the State's defense mechanisms. Whereas the 1967 victory injected the Arab world with fear of Israel and the rest of
humanity with respect for the infant state; the post 1967 leaders of the nation have inspired the Arab world with hope at
seeing Israel, the object of Islam's hatred and violence, obliterated in their people's lifetimes; and the rest of
the world with hope that the Jewish question is about to be resolved.
The only hope I have for Israel's survival at this point, besides the insertion
of the Messiah into the Israeli political scene prior to the onset of the prophesied War of Armageddon, is that the Jewish
street in Israel will overwhelm its suicidal leadership and install a reality oriented regime. Is this likely in a nation
divided along religious, political and economic fault lines ? No, I do not think so because the entire society has been brainwashed
to see Israel's strategic planners - a veritable oxymoron - as knowing more than the public can even imagine. I believe
this delusional comfort zone is Israel's psychological adaptation to living under the constant threat of annihilation.
Unfortunately, not only religious and political leaders are vane and imbecilicly suicidal, but the military establishment
is also infected with the same cancer which renders all of its decisions and planning treasonous, if not utterly and hopelessly
suicidal.
As a result,
the majority of Israel's population is under an imminent threat of annihilation. As Iran prepares its nuclear weaponry
without challenge and as Hamas, Hizb'ullah, the PA, Egypt, Syria, Turkey, et al, prepare for the War; the eternal victim,
i.e., the Jew - head in the sand of his fantasies - goes about his daily life with methodical concern for his business objectives
as if tomorrow is going to be the same as today. And what else can he do in a nation infested with governmental, religious
and military rulers who dominate them and make policies which can only lead to the destruction of everything they cherish
?
Instead of remedies
which overcomes the people's mental illness and strengthens the people's immune response systems, the people dose
themselves with more lies which have mortal side effects. These harmful lies include delusions of peace partners with amicable
intent, delusions of a world concerned with justice, delusions of a loyal American friendship, delusions of a religious leadership
imbued with wisdom, delusions of a Prime Minister and Defense Minister obsessed with the defense and security of Israel's
people, delusions that President Obama is acting in Israel's and America's best interest, delusions that the Israel
Defense Forces is prepared to protect the nation from attack, and delusions that everything will somehow be alright. When
a more conscious person, liberated from these mental illnesses offers the people a dose of reality and says that their delusional
remedies are not going to lead to peace and security, he is attacked or ignored. Even Israel's Supreme Court is hopelessly
infected with the cancer of self-hatred and self-destruction. So for what can the people hope ?
While it is understandable that secular leaders could become critically
infected with this self-destructive mindset due to political pressures; it is most unfortunate that the religious establishment
has failed to set an example of proactive faith in God. As a result, the way to appeal to Israel's Creator has been obstructed
by a religious establishment which has hosted this self-destructiveness in its most subtle yet pernicious form. Throughout
the exile, our spiritual leadership has created a format for Jewish religious life which actually alienates God and preempts
the blessings He has promised to us and our forefathers IF we comply with HIS WRITTEN TORAH !!! Consequently,
all the energies our people expend within the format of Judaism, as it was fabricated by our rabbis, to solicit God's
blessings actually disqualify us from earning them !!!!!!! The reason for this is that our sages have transformed a life of
real, worldly action based on the Written Torah's laws, principles, and God's intentions into a ridiculous and pagan
religion with prayers, orally rendered blessings, ceremonies and rituals and a ritualistic speed reading of our Written Torah.
Does anyone in a synagogue ever wonder that the Torah reading ritual is like the continual reading and rereading of a Divine
instruction manual ? Does anyone think that the reading of an instruction manual is the same as actually operating the
machinery for which the instruction manual provides guidance ? Can anyone actually believe that uttering oral blessings and
reading God's Instruction Manual for our souls and our nation can really please God and inspire Him to open His Hand as
if we had truly complied with the commandments of His Instruction Manual ?
Israel is one critically ill nation. Its leaders are hopelessly
enthralled in lies and the people are enthralled by their leaders' charades. Could it be that such a sick nation
will accept a Moshiach who tells this nation and its leaders that they are suffering from a cancer which is destroying them
and that all their remedies are further destroying their potential for survival ? It is clear to God that such a nation will
not survive without His intervention. The question is whether the number of righteous Jews will influence our Creator to save
us in spite of ourselves !!! This will soon become apparent to all who survive the next couple of years.
